Kettlebell sessions
The kettlebell is my favourite tool because it is honest. Good technique feels great, bad technique tells you straight away. I teach the lifts one at a time, so you get strong and fit without hurting your back.
This is for you if
- You have never touched a kettlebell and want to learn it the right way
- You run or cycle and your hamstrings and glutes need work
- You are tired of machines and want one tool that does everything
What we do in a session
- We loosen up the hips and practise the hinge
- Technique on one or two lifts, I film you if it helps
- A short, hard conditioning block
- What to practise before next time
Questions people ask me
- Do I need my own kettlebell?
- One kettlebell is enough to start and they are easy to find in Nairobi. Tell me what you have and I will tell you which size to get. If you train at a gym near you, they usually have a rack.
- Is it safe for my back?
- Done right, the swing makes your back stronger. We spend the first sessions on the hinge before I add weight or speed.
